About Us

The Jewish Federation & Foundation of Rockland County leads efforts that strengthen Jewish life and meet the critical needs of the Jewish community in Rockland County, Israel, and around the world. We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and one of 140+ Federations of the Jewish Federations of North America.

Learn more about our key programs Adult Education, Rockland and Jewish, PJ Library and Rockland Jewish Initiative (RJI).

Rockland Federation provides Compelling Needs grants to help local agencies do their important work. Our agency partners include Hillel of Rockland, Holocaust Muesum & Center for Tolerance and Education, JCC Rockland and Rockland Jewish Family Service (RJFS).

Through our overseas partners we provide services in Israel and worldwide, wherever there are Jews in need. We support programs like the Ethiopian National Project, which has staunched a high dropout rate among Ethiopian immigrants in Israel by encouraging them to get higher degrees, and food assistance programs for elderly residents in Eastern Europe.
