A Better Future for Rockland

By Gary Siepser, CEO

This is the time of year when many make resolutions. What is a resolution if not an imagining of a different and better future?  In the coming months Federation will be intensively focused on the future and asking each member of the community to imagine a better future for Rockland. Join Federation’s leadership in imagining that future and ask yourself, what do you want to be known for in 5 years, 10 years or 20 years? What is the legacy you want to be known for by your children and grandchildren?  And for what do you want to be known by your community? These are all thought-provoking questions. They are not easy to answer. And those aspirations are not easy to make into a future reality.

Please accept this invitation to make your legacy in the Jewish community in Rockland. During the coming months there will be a number of exciting opportunities -- the details of which are being finalized as I write! For now please save the date of April 15 in your calendar, which is when our community will come together to celebrate Israel's 70th birthday. You can also join us on a Legacy Journey to Israel October 17-24; click here for details on this once-in-a-lifetime experience. And of course, you can call and talk to me anytime about legacy giving to your Jewish Federation. Or simply remember Federation in your will, which is an easy way to create your legacy and perpetuate the Jewish values and traditions that you cherish.
