Hundreds Show Support on Super Sunday

On Super Sunday, January 26, Rockland residents flocked to the Jewish Community Campus to serve as Super Sunday volunteers and to participate in various community-building activities throughout the day.

According to Diane Sloyer, Rockland Federation's Executive Director, Super Sunday volunteer turnout exceeded expectations. "The hard work of so many volunteers who came to make phone calls helped us meet our Super Sunday fundraising goal," says Sloyer.

PJ Library's Super Sunday Superhero event drew dozens of area children, dressed as superheros, to meet Batman and make care packages for Jewish children in Cuba. Another treat for volunteers throughout the day came from area rabbis, who delivered "Mitzvah Minutes" to inspire those asking for donations.
