Super Sunday: A Super Success

The blizzard of 2016 didn't slow down the Jewish Federation of Rockland County on Super Sunday.

On that day (January 24), 80+ volunteers made over 1,000 calls to Federation friends, resulting in 286 donations and pledges for our 2016 Annual Campaign.

“We were overjoyed that the worst snowstorm of the season didn’t hamper our efforts on our biggest fundraising day of the year,” says Federation Campaign Associate Beth Weiss-Dunn.

Federation’s PJ Library in Rockland County held a “Super Sunday Superhero” program for children on January 24 as well. Participants enjoyed crafts, story time, snacks and pizza. Children also made heartfelt cards for Kosher Troops stationed abroad and for IDF soldiers in Israel.

Federation thanks photographer Jeff Karg for the wonderful photos taken on Super Sunday, which can be viewed here. We also wish to thank our co-chairs Rachel Shinder and Jeffrey Koenig and all our volunteers and sponsors for their invaluable help and support, including Bubba’s Café, Inflated Creations, ShopRite, Leader & Berkon, Macabee Foods, Riviera Produce, Rockland Community College, Total Focus Eyewear, Carousel Cakes, Challah Fairy, Costco, Fairway and Rockland Bakery.
