About  11 years ago, when my eldest child was not yet a toddler, my husband and I pulled into a driveway in Congers and were greeted by a half-dozen swans and a beautiful lake. Never mind the house, we thought. We need this life! So we bought the house that belonged to that driveway, and we've been happy Rocklandites ever since.
