Adult Education

The Jewish Federation & Foundation of Rockland County offers curriculum set by the Florence Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning as well a number of individual classes led by our expert Midreshet Rockland educators, in the Federation wing of the Rockland Jewish Community Campus.

The Melton Core Curriculum is a comprehensive series of text-based lessons, studied over two years. We offer the Melton Scholars Curriculum as well, which focuses on a deeper examination of selected Jewish texts, from the Biblical to the modern. Building upon on the Melton curriculum, we offer our Midreshet Rockland classes, taught by expert Jewish educators on a wide variety of subjects. While these “graduate” classes are designed for those who have some basic Jewish education, they are open to everyone and are offered year-round.
